100K Trees for Humanity, is a Black led urban reforestation tree planting initiative. We are working to increase urban tree canopies to sequester more carbon, provide cooling shade and increase natural habitat for wildlife– one tree at a time.

Since 2019, we have organized cities and their communities to plant trees and mulch existing trees for a more resilient planet.

Now, we are working on an Urban Greenbelt strategy across Alameda County. This will plant 100,000 trees and plants CO2 equivalent in West Oakland, Alameda, San Leandro, San Lorenzo and Fremont by 2030 to help accelerate their city’s Climate Action Plan goals.
