About the Friends

San Leandro Creek Watershed covers 48 square miles, from Moraga to San Francisco Bay.

Who are the Friends of San Leandro Creek?

The Friends of San Leandro Creek is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and community group made up of dedicated citizens, students, and businesses interested in the protection and enhancement of San Leandro Creek, and in learning more about the creek’s ecology.

Join the Friends in learning about the San Leandro Creek Watershed! General Meetings (three times per year), are held virtually until further notice. Most meetings feature guest speakers, who discuss an environmental topic. New faces are always welcome! You do not have to be a member to participate in our meetings or activities. Check your San Leandro Times for dates and topics. For more information, please call (510) 577-6069.

The Friends have contributed to City and County decisions affecting the creek and the surrounding watershed. We have planned creek-related activities such as creek walks and clean-ups. See “Events” for more information.
