Saturday, March 12 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM join FSLC at Chabot Park in San Leandro. The Friends have installed 12 bird boxes for cavity nesting birds around the park!
This fun morning will include:
- Meet the Eagle Scout that made them – by hand!
- Family friendly Kid’s Bird Box Treasure hunt! Find each box and draw in the special image pasted to the bottom of each. Prizes for kids that find all 12!!
- At 11:00 AM, Bird expert, Ann Graham will talk about why cavity nesting bird boxes are important!
- Get a chance to Adopt a Bird Box!! Families or individuals may adopt a bird box & receive a plaque in their honor that will hang proudly on their box. Recommended $50.00 per box (a sliding scale will be considered) will assist with ongoing monitoring that each box requires.
